About us: the Filamentor story
Who are we? Two makers from Prague
We are two guys from Prague, won over long ago by the world of 3D printing. We have spent countless hours tuning our printers, trying different configurations and bringing our ideas to life. But we soon ran into a fundamental problem that affects almost anyone who prints often: the price of the material.
Why was Filamentor born?
When you print a lot, spools disappear at an incredible rate. So we started taking a closer interest in how the filament market works. We discovered a fairly harsh reality: many resellers apply crazy margins on the material. It seemed unfair to us that the maker community has to pay such high prices for something that, with the right approach, can be sold for much less.
That is why we decided to change things and founded Filamentor. Our rule is simple: we cut our margins so we can offer filaments at a reasonable price.

We are not a big multinational, we are enthusiasts. We want to build an online shop where we ourselves would happily shop. We don't have to invent our own plastic brand at all costs, which is why we have added to our range names we trust 100%.
We specialise in selling community-proven filaments Prof. Lab and Smart Print. With us, a lower price does not mean a poorer material at all.
Tested in our print farm: we are not just resellers. We run our own 3D print farm where we use and test our filaments. We don't claim anything about filaments we haven't tried ourselves.
Fair prices for everyone: we reject absurd markups. You pay for honest plastic and for the build quality of established brands, not for inflated marketing.
From makers for makers: we know the problems you run into while printing. We know how annoying a badly wound spool or an uneven filament diameter can be. That is why we only sell what has perfect printing properties.
